I am going to buy on Sat. either the 2210, 4010, 4110 or 4115. the last one is realy out of my budget. I have a small city lot 100x150 and a river camp 3 acres. I use a 455 with bucket now to keep up a 300 ft gravel and mud road after the Mississippi floods us out. I also use the 455 to help me in wood cutting hualing the large chunks to the wood spliter. I need to level out the yard once a year after floods, I aslo help others around thier homes with odd jobs from gravel to landscaping etc. I am leaning to the 4110 because of the true 3 ph and high limits on the hitch and bucket but after reading all the post I am still worried about the 4110 being less horse than the 2210 and my 455. Any help before I blow alot of money I do not want to step up again like I did with the 455. Plus how well will these tractor hebhave in a small yard and hill side. 18der.
Thanks you guys are great.

Roger; Acording to what I've been told Deere is replacing the mid frame size 4000 tens with a new 3000 series this fall. Maybe waiting a few months could get you a bigger tractor for about the same money when Deere is clearing out the 4000 mid frame sizes. The new 4000 twenty series that have been introduced are their large frame compact tractors, nice tractors, but too big for my needs. Frank. ....

Are you going to keep the 455? It is a great mower (much more maneuverable than the CUT's). Also how steep a hillside are you talking about? I agree with hardwood, if you wait for the 3xxx, you may find they suit your needs better + there may be some good deals on the 4xxx models then. I have a 2210, and find it works fine for the tasks I need it for.

Cheers ....

If this helps you at all the 4110 & 4115 have the same hydrolic capacities, meaning they use the same loader, backhoe, etc..with identical lift limits...the 4115 has more HP and PTO HP and measurable size difference over the 4110. But costs considerably more than the 4110..both these machines are more powerful(and bigger in size) in the hydrolic area than the 2210 -its not all about HP
If the 455 is in good shape that could be your mower, and the 4110 w/ FEL could do the rest...or even the 2210

Duc ....

Hope I'm not too late,

I have a 455 hydro and a 4110 hydro... comparing the 2 tractors by comparing HP doesn't even begin to tell the true story. The 4110 will make the 455 look stupid. Please don't be fooled by the HP rating... it's all in how that HP gets to the ground.

BTW the 2210 and the 4110 use exactly the same part # engine. The 2210's HP is rated and something like 3100RPM while the 4110's is rated at 2650. Both tractors should produce about the same "engine" torque.

I have 3 acres also... the 4110 has been a life saver.

This spring I had a simular dilemna. I wanted the 24hp of the 4115, but also wanted the short turning radius of the 4110. I chose the 4110, and I am very happy I did. I have never come close to running out of hp. and I love the fuel economy and short turning radius. ....

hay guys thanks so much for the input. I just got back from my river camp where my poor 455 just got stuck in the mud I was trying to move. I gave up. it would only pick up a 1/3 of bucket of this slop. and then not move because of the slick ground. I need a bigger tractor. Some of you have posted about a newer tractor in the fall in the 3,000 where can I read up on this model. are there any specs. Again thanks for the info I feel now for the money the 4110 is the way to go. I am getting $8,000 from the dealer for the 455 and bucket and front hydo blade. I think I am getting a good deal.

Again thank, thanks, and thanks. ....

If you need to get traction in muck very often you'll want R1 tires on whatever you get. Even those have problems in muck but they're a heck of a lot better than R4s or turfs. ....

Roger, I haven't saw any specs on the 3000 series, but I'm just guessing they will have a bit more horsepower, probably more creature comforts, and there has been rumor of a cab option. These are just second hand romors and my guessing, so don't take it to the bank just yet. You'll never be sorry of your new tractor, they're the greatest therapy ever invented, I spend about 15 hours a week on mine just mowing plus lots of loader, box blade, and backhoe work. Have a ball. Frank. ....

If the price is right; I would prefer the 4115. More hp, longer wheel base and frame. I am sure you will be very happy with either. ....

Thanks to you all in the help you have given me. Tomorrow is the big day, I think I am going for the 4110. Just one more question if you please.
Today we had to move about 150 feet of mud off my camp road which was about 4 inchs. A friend of mine brought his 2910 Kuboto down it did great. While this tractor is large than the 4110 how will it (4110) stack up to the 2910. the size of the 4110 is what I need. The 2910 is to large for my town use. Has any one used both of the tractors.

I think I am not going to wait for the 3,000 s. this seems to be what I need unless it will be more meat with the same size.

Again thanks. ....
